Official Course Description:Overview of e-commerce technologies and applications such as EDI, XML, JAVA, middleware, firewalls, encryption, payment systems, database integration, shopping-cart applications, cookies, transaction analysis, and application service providers. Programming experience recommended.
What You’ll Actually Be Learning:This class is in-depth, technical look at creating database driven websites with an eye towards E-commerce applications. You’ll be how to take simple XHTML/CSS web pages and turn them into a functioning, useful application. We’ll also spend time looking at a variety of topics that surround web application development – things like security certificates, payment gateways, and web analytic software.
